Charity custodian of a restored InterCity 125 High Speed Train, running occasional railtours in original livery to mark HST anniversaries.
125 Group is a registered charity that preserves the InterCity 125 High Speed Train. It cares for several Class 43 power cars including 43025, 43044, 43048, 43089 and 43159 together with Mark 3 trailer coaches, restored to the blue and yellow InterCity livery of the 1970s and 1980s.
The group runs a small number of main line railtours each year, often in partnership with Retro Railtours or Rail Charter Services, giving passengers the chance to ride a classic HST at full line speed. 2026 outings include The Summer Riviera to Paignton and a fiftieth anniversary weekend in October with The Journey Shrinker from Paddington to Swansea and The Rio Revival from St Pancras to Manchester.
Tickets are sold online through the group's ticketing partners, with Standard and First Class seating in the original Mark 3 coaches.
