LuxuryThe Lord of the Isles Pullman
Three-day Midland Pullman land cruise to Inverness with a day trip on the Kyle line to Kyle of Lochalsh opposite Skye.
Locomotive Services' Nanking Blue HST recreating the 1960s Blue Pullman, running Pullman dining land cruises to the Highlands, Devon and Edinburgh.
The Midland Pullman is a refurbished InterCity 125 High Speed Train painted in the Nanking Blue and white of the original 1960 Blue Pullman diesel sets. Locomotive Services rebuilt the Class 43 power cars and Mark 3 coaches at Crewe and the train made its first public run in 2020.
The train offers two classes: Pullman Dining, with multi-course meals and wine served at your seat, and First Class non-dining with tea, coffee and light refreshments. The HST's speed and range allow long distance days that steam cannot match, so the programme is built around Scotland and the far South West: the Lord of the Isles Pullman to Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh, the West Highland and Hebridean Pullmans to Fort William and Oban, the Torbay Riviera Pullman and the Edinburgh Christmas Pullman.
Pick-up points rotate around the country, with departures from the South East, Midlands, Wales, the North and Scotland across the year. Multi-day tours do not include hotels, leaving passengers free to choose their own.
